Our first Annual Holiday Bash kicked off on December 11th 2009, held on our fourth story pool deck and club lounge. Students were gearing up to go home for their winter break, and this was a perfect opportunity for everyone to get together before their finals and before heading home for some much needed R&R.
There were many activities throughout the night to keep guests entertained. If you were not on the dance floor in front of the wading pool with DJ Tranzit, you may have been up at the Kissing Booth getting your picture taken with two of Santa's snow vixens or visiting the guy with the big white beard in the Santa Cabana. And just for those who were stressed about finals or who just flat out don't like their roommate, there was an inflatable boxing ring setup in the sand volleyball court for tenants and guests to slug it out (safely).
If boxing or dancing wasn't your thing, there were plenty of contests in front of our infinity edge swimming pool, such as best dressed guy and girl or ugliest holiday outfit. Thousands of dollars in prizes were given away from sponsors such as Dolce, Oliveo's Grill, Silvermine Subs, Hungry Howies, Dutch Bros. Coffee, the Phoenix Coyotes, and the Phoenix Suns.
But sponsors for this event did more than just give away prizes. Red Bull came fully equipped with energy drinks and mocktails, a large screen projector, lounge seats and tables, a DJ, and the Wiiings Team. Showgear Productions created the atmosphere with mood lighting, stage props, and large flat panel plasma TV's that surrounded the DJ. Stationed next to the outdoor exercise area, Silvermine Subs provided sandwich platters which got devoured immediately followed by desert, which was provided by Word of Mouth Cookies including their seasonal and Sweet Nothing cookie trays. To complete this winter wonderland, Dutch Bros. Coffee supplied boxes of hot chocolate and we also provided a station to make your own smores over the open fire pit.
If you missed this years Holiday Bash be sure to mark it, along with our other events, in your calendar for next year!
